The “Sicherstellung, Beschlagnahme, Verteilung” boxes contain information about seizures, confiscations, the transfer and dispersal of confiscated objects and the corresponding transport lists. It includes original lists, the details of around 100 seized and later expropriated collections with handwritten comments on the storage and later restitution to the former owners or their legal successors. Further content, of particular importance for object-based research, is the Posse correspondence between the Federal Monuments Authority Austria and Hitler’s special representative Hans Posse, his successor Hermann Voss and their assistant Gottfried Reimer.
